Hello humans of the internet! A while ago I started a Christmas cactus propagation. Here is a picture of what that looks like:
It’s doing pretty well, so why not propagate another one (from the original plant, this one is not ready to have pieces cut off.) Also my sister asked for a Christmas cactus. I don’t know if this is true for everyone, but it’s the beginning of growing season where I live. All the plants are starting to put off fresh leaves, so it feels like a good time to start some little plant babies.
This is the plant I’m going to be taking the cuttings from. In the past I’ve propagated Christmas cactus in soil, but I wanted to see if I would be able to get it to root in water, so I’m going to do both.
And that is it. Now I just wait a couple weeks until the plant has roots then, I’ll give it to my sister.
