Talking About Weather Again

Hello Humans of the internet!  It’s March!  It’s actually been March for a few days.  And that gets me thinking about Spring and seasons and weather (and also my birthday a week from when I’m posting this).  Personally, March is my favorite months and not just because of my birthday (next Monday).  I love the unpredictability of the month.  It always feels like a month of change for me.

In March one day can be bright and sunny, the next might be cold and windy, and the next might be thunderstorms.  And I love that.  It makes me feel like anything is possible.  and not just with the weather, if you want to make a major change in your life, March is the month to do it.  Don’t make New Years Resolutions, because people drop them by February.  Just decide to change your life in March.  In March, everyone is stir crazy from winter.  It’s starting to get warm.  The Earth feels ready from a change.  It’s like every inch of nature is waiting, holding it’s breath from Sprig.  Everything knows, it’s time for a change.  It’s time to change ourselves too.

Here is how I’m changing my life in March:

I’m actually going to write this novel I’ve been thinking about for years.  Multiple years.  I’ve been writing notes about it, dreaming up dialogue for it.  Obsessing over the characters.  But, I don’t write it because I never feel like I’m good enough at writing.  I still don’t feel like I’m a particularly good writer.  But I love to write and this story is in my head and I can’t get it out.  So, I’m going to write it.  And I know it’s going to be a lot of work.  But, I feel very stubborn about it.

Do any of you have a month for changes or is that just me?  Is there anything that you really want to do, but are afraid of?  What are your thoughts on Spring?

much love

  1. Well, now it is snowing again. I thought I felt spring in the air, but I guess not. Write that novel. You can always have someone edit it. My husband put off writing a book for a long time for just your reason. He finally wrote it, had my daughter edit it and published it. It has proved very helpful in his work.(Not a fiction book, though.)
