Insert Inspirational Quote Here

Hello Humans of the internet!  It’s Friday evening and you know what that means?  You successfully survived another work week.  You deserve a congratulations.  Way to go you!  You can go on Pinterest and scroll through endless ideas on how to fix up your house with pallets and food to be prepared inside of mason jars.  All of this interspersed with a fair number of these images:

images

The sunset or mountain, sometimes the tree of life looking images with words over the top that are all over the internet.  I’m sure that you’ve seen them on Pinterest, Tumblr, on blogs, and on Facebook.  I think these images are so pretty.  I love them every time I see them.  I found this one a few days ago.

At least I think it was this one.  I remembered the image and googled “inspirational quote tree” to find it again.  It might be a different quote, but I’ll never know because I can’t read them.  At all.  For various reasons.  These inspirational quote pictures are usually written in unique fonts and different color combinations or just have a really busy background.  All of these things make in almost impossible for me to read.  I say almost because I can very clearly read the word “tough” in the tree image above.  Please let me know if I’m wrong and it doesn’t say “tough”.

I’ve just been really frustrated lately because I really like the pictures and I like the idea of the words being integrated into the image.  I just don’t know what they say.  As far as I’m concerned they may as well all look like this:

INSPIRATIONAL

So, let me know if you like these type of images.  Can you read them?  Are they hard to read?  What do you search on Pinterest when you’re trying to kill time?  I will see y’all Monday.

much love

  1. The tree picture says “For a tree to become tall it must grow tough roots among the rocks” you are are right it says tough! I like them, it reminds me of scripture quotes actually. There are a ton of good one in the olé Bible 😉

  2. Please do post some anti-inspirational quotes. I am pretty tired of the others. When I went to vote, the elementary school walls were plastered with “encouraging” posters. I found my cynical self really screaming: “Let them have recess. Quite lecturing them about character.”

  3. Great quotes… Even I wrote something inspirational for my latest blog… Guess that’s what we need after a week of crazy workload! And Yay!! We survived another week into 2018!! 😂😂

    1. I’m glad you liked the quotes! And survived another week! I was nervous that I hasn’t chosen good ones because I can’t really read them and chose them purely based on the images. (Except of course the last one which I made. I know what that one says)

  4. I never realised something like that would be so difficult for someone who’s dyslexic. Never occurred to me that the background would make it doubly hard, thankyou for educating us. I do like inspirational quotes if I happen to see one that ‘speaks to me’ and has caught me at the right time. Some are incredibly corny though. I like those that have a funny or sarcastic twist 😉

      1. Yes, you definitely should. I guess they’re not really motivational, more send-ups, but if it makes you smile then I think it works 😉 Along the lines of; ‘Life is too short to be serious all the time, so if you can’t laugh at yourself……. call me, I’ll laugh at you!’. One serious one that did really speak to me and help me is; ‘To have something you’ve never had, you must do something you have never done’. 🙂
