Hello Humans of the internet.  Thank you for joining me during Halloweek!  I hope that y’all enjoyed it!  And I hope that everyone had a great time on Halloween whether you were trick or treating, handing out candy, or just hanging out and watching horror movies.  (Or doing something completely different because you don’t like Halloween as much as me).  Because it is now November, it is time to pick out my 2018 planner (I can’t believe that it’s almost 2018)

I know that I have mentioned how much I love stationary before back during the back to school time of the year.  I’ll link that post right here, because a lot of you are new here and you might want to read it.  I like reading older posts of people when I start following them.  Maybe you do too.  So, getting back on track from that mini tangent.

I didn’t make sense to but a new planner during back to school time.  All of them were 2017/18 planners.  They were made for students.  They start and end with the school year instead of the calendar year.  Seeing as I already had a planner that went all the way to the end of 2017, there was not point in getting one that started in August of 2017.  That’s 4 unused months.  But, now that it’s November, I can justify looking for a new planner.  I’ll be the first to admit that I take stationary way too seriously.  And honestly, I usually use Dyslexia as an excuse for that.

Some planners are genuinely too busy for me to read.  For example, if the pages have tons of neon colors there is pretty much no way that I’m going to be able to read it because that is just how my brain works.  But sometimes, I just think that the colors are ugly and I don’t want to offend my mom when she’s helping me pick out a planner.  Sorry Mom.

I’m sure that we’ve all seen those really cool planners on Pinterest.  Ones like this:8bb9efa52db4d5991c1bb88d7f5a95a8--planner-layout-agenda-planner

I mean look at the gorgeous image of a planner that I found on the first page of google images after searching fancy planners.  There are a lot more like this.  The internet is full of beautiful and organized stationary.  I wish that I could have a planner that looks like this.  I mean look at those colors.  But I’m going to be honest the only thing on that page that I can read is the number 16 at the top.  I’m not even sure if it’s a 16.  There may not be any words on the page.  I literally have no idea.

My desire for a beautiful planner and my inability to read well means that I always have to compromise with my self.  So, I haven’t found this years planner.  But, I’m beginning my search.  hopefully I find something cute and legible.

By the way, in order to write posts that I feel good about I decided to cut back on the frequency of my posting.  I’m thinking once a week on Sunday.  (I do want to post more frequently because I love blogging.)  I think that if I keep to posting once I week then I can still have the mental energy to read other people’s blogs and I love reading about y’all’s lives.

Much love,

I'm a writer with dyslexic.
