This is Halloweek!

Hello Humans of the internet!  It’s exactly seven days until Halloween which means that it is now Halloweek!  I hope that you are as excited about this as I am or at least almost as excited as I am probably too excited.  I thought that it would be good to start off with a good old traditional pumpkin carving tutorial.

And then I realized that I have no idea how to carve a pumpkin…

I was literally staring at this giant pumpkin that  bought like, “What now?” I’ve always helped my mom carve the pumpkin and I realized this year that I am literally no help, what’s so ever.  Here is a picture of the very first pumpkin that I ever carved on my own.

I won’t be making a tutorial because I am not authority on pumpkins.  Instead I’m going to list the undeniably most terrifying things in the world.

  1. Dolls

now I personally really like dolls, especially those old, thrift store dolls, I feel like they just need a little TLC, you know?  The terrifying dolls that I’m talking about are those ones that we’ve all seen and you just don’t completely trust them not to move.

  2. Clowns

I don’t feel like I need to justify this one.  clowns are scary the end.

  3. Movement out the corner of your eye

was it really there?  Are you just really tired?  Was it your hair?  Was it the cat?  Was it a demon come to take your soul?

  4. Noise in the middle of the night

You can tell yourself that it was the wind, that you live in an old house, that it was nothing.  But do you ever believe yourself?  What do you think that noise was?

  5. Empty Cribs

I know that I’m probably alone in this one, but it is legitimately one of the scariest things to me.  And it’s not just any empty crib.  Like a friend of mine has a baby, I’m not terrified every time I walk by his room and he’s not in the crib.  And I don’t think nurseries that couples are setting up for the baby that they are expecting is scary.  But, once, I went to a thrift store and there was a completely set up crib all the bedding, pillows, and a little elephant mobile.  And it was just sitting in the thrift store surrounded by all the beat up thrift store furniture.  It scared me so much it caused an instinctual response in me.  I couldn’t explain why, but I had such a deep need to escape from that crib.

I hope you enjoyed the list of creepy things.  Can you think of anything creepier?  Let us know, a good scare is always fun.  See you tomorrow with another creepy post.  Happy Halloweek

  1. Halloween is me and my other half’s ‘anniversary’, (he also hates creepy dolls), so we too are super excited. And it’s our 13th 😉 And we’ve just moved into a house – number 13, and our black cat is also now 13. So, pretty spooky here this year! What freaks me out is open curtains when it’s dark outside. If I’m at someone else’s house I’ll sit quietly begging them to shut the curtains!
