Gift Card Stress Update

Hello Humans of the Internet!  It’s a beautifully rainy day today.  I’ve always loved the rain, especially warm summer rains.  Walking in this kind of rain seems to cleanse the soul and afterwards it has that very particular post rain smell.  Today, I would like to offer an update on my gift card stress from Monday.  This will be a really short post today.

To begin with I asked my parents to never buy me a gift card again.  Seriously, if you don’t know what to get me, just don’t give me a present.  I don’t like having that much attention on me anyway.

Also, I finally ordered something.  I was quite proud of myself.  Briefly.  This replaced almost immediately by the need to please everyone all the time.  What if my parents, who bought the gift card didn’t like what I picked out?  What if they thought it was a waste of money, which is technically their money that they gave to me to spend on something that I wanted four years ago?  I’m pretty happy with my decision which I will share with you all when it comes in the mail.  So, until next time, What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever ordered? (please keep it pg).

Much love, AK

  1. There’s nothing wrong with wanting and buying something you wanted four years ago… In fact, I recently bought a funny looking belt (which I’m sure my mom wouldn’t want to gift me!)… A belt I wanted when I was almost half my age (10 yrs).
