Hello, lost humans of the internet. I hope that you have had a great year. For a lot of people this was an overall difficult year, but it is important to remember that there was also a lot of good moments. And if there is nothing else, at least we can all rest assured that it’s almost over. There are just a few more minutes. Probably, by the time you read this, it’ll already be 2017. So, raise a glass be glad that we’ve all made it this far and pray for what’s to come.
Right now is the time to set off fireworks with your loved ones and wonder why you are standing outside in freezing weather. Or, in my case curling up on the couch with some cocoa and a 1950’s monster movie on in the background while writing a blog post and looking forward to 2017. I hope it’s better than 2016.
Any New Years resolutions? I try to make them but I tend to break them by January 2nd every year. I think this year I’m going to try to waste less time online. (I can pretty much guarantee this won’t work, but I’m going to try). My back up resolution for when I can’t keep that one is to keep positive.
It is important to remember that even in the midst of a really difficult year, every moment could be the moment that changes your life. Any moment could be the moment that sends you on the next great adventure. The next person you meet could be your best friend. Just because the year is ending and the new year is coming doesn’t mean this is your only chance to make a resolution. This isn’t the only chance to change your life. Every decision that we make is a new chance to define ourselves and our lives.
Spread joy and keep it weird this coming year.
